Then Robert Sabuda is one because, because, because, because, because . . . because of the wonderful books he does!I can’t believe I’ve never mentioned them before.I bought my first Robert Sabuda book several years ago after watching a little segment on Martha Stewart Living about his Wizard of Oz pop-up book. Since that time, he has brought pop-up books to a whole new level.

We have a small collection of his titles Night Before Christmas, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Each one is mind-boggling.Now, I normally only let my kids look at them with strict parental supervision. Their home (the books’, not the kids’) is on the top shelf of our book case, wrapped in cellophane, and my kids now know that any ripped, wrinkled, torn, bent, twisted, breathed-on-wrong page in one of his books will result in mommy having a breakdown of sorts. So they’re pretty careful with them.

My daughter loves

It has a spinning tornado and an Emerald City, complete with green glasses and a hidden message.
