happy

new year!

and a happy 100th post

to all of you, my loyal and amazing readers!!  I would have quit a long time ago if it weren’t for all of you.

Two big milestones for me.  So, here is my question:

what would you like to see more of?  more recipes?  more books?  what would make you all happy this new year, when you visit

sophistimom?

I love your recipes, but I don’t cook as much as you do (well, I cook but not as fancy as you do), so I would love to see more books! Really anything you write about I like to read about. Thanks for your wonderful blog!

      Thanks, Marne and Emily!

I’d like more of your book picks since I’m always wanting to know what’s good out there even though I don’t really have extra time to read until summer hits. It’s good to have a list waiting for me! (I really do love your pics of food, too!)

I love to cook, and with 5 kids I am always looking for new recipes, so I’d vote recipes. I made your white hot chocolate today, and it was a big hit. My dh took some in a thermos with him to work tonight.

I vote for books. I read The Hunger Games that you recommended, and I LOVED it! I got it for my hubby for Christmas. Thanks for the recommendation! Any idea when book 2 of that is coming out? Can’t wait!Keep them coming! And I love the recipes too! Thanks and Happy New Year!

I love it all! I’ve been here since your first post when I added you to my favs and check your blog daily! I’m always excited to see whatever you post ~ but your recipes are to die for! Although my favorite post is the rules of the house post, so anymore insight on the parenting thing is appreciated too! You rock whatever you do and I’m looking forward to all you have in store for 2009! Happy New Year!

Middle Eastern, and Indian recipes. Books of course. You have great taste. And etiquette with children, manners etc.

I’m up for more recipes any time. I made your cream cheese pound cake, adding lemon zest in the mixture, and after it cooked, topping it with a lemon juice glaze. My friends all thought it was the best thing in the world!

What city are you in? Colorado Springs? If you are, I think I just found a new friend!!

    13. Marisa says:

Your food photos make me want to run to the kitchen to cook a wonderful, wholesome meal for my family. I haven’t actually done it yet, but I want to. :) I think the recipe to book ratio is just perfect the way it is. Thank you!

    14. Lindsey says:

Love the recipes!!! So my vote is recipes for sure!! Your cheesecake brownies were a HUGE hit at our bakel sale and now I get asked EVERY time to make them!! Thanks so much!!

And more samples for me! :)

I’m w/whoever Shannon is. Also, maybe in all your spare time, could you catalog your old recipes, so when I need one for a certain thing, it would be easier to find one? thanks.

Hello Sister Mormann, I must start by saying I almost fell off of my chair when I stumbled upon your blog. You didn’t cook these wonderful creations for me while we were serving together in Montreal. Could it have been because we were in a spider infested cave? I love your site, I look forward to trying some of your recipes. Happy Day, Anita Shaw
