Thanks for asking, Lisa. I’m so sorry that the caramel wasn’t creamy enough. I would add some more cream, actually. I think that 1/2 cup of heavy cream will work better.

Love these cupcakes! My friends are actually paying me to make them for them! My caramel got really hard and not that creamy..should I add more butter? Would the consistency improve? Thanks again for sharing!!

Ohmagosh. These were amazing. Every person that had them RAVED. I asked my hubby the week before if he thought they sounded good and he thought they would be nasty! Let me tell you… he ate 8 (that I counted!) Thanks for the recipe, I am making them again tonight to take to some friends!!

I made these for a church dinner club and they were a huge hit even though my caramel didn’t turn out so I had to skip it. The maple/cream cheese flavor of the frosting was the perfect compliment to the super appley cupcakes.

Oooh, Wilene, I am so glad you liked them. The picture hasn’t caught as many people’s eye as the raspberry lemonade bars, but I thought these were probably my favorite of bake sale week.
