My irish grandma also married an Italian and her sauce was killer!! Our family lived in and around Waterbury, Connecticut. My sister's Italian hubby also makes a wonderful sauce with pepperoni, sausage, fresh tomatoes, herbs and TLC and he cooks it for 2 days....wow...it makes the best lasagna I've ever tasted. Sadly, she died last year and she didnt leave a recipe for me so I've been trying to work it out by myself... slowly working my through the <a href="http://www.meatballrecipe.org/" rel="nofollow">meatball recipes</A> here, I still cant figure out what her secret ingredient was though!!!
